School Director Corina Paredes
Ms. Paredes has several years of experience in event planning and as an administrative assistant in the construction industry. Corina completed a 20 week Administrative Assistant program at ProMed Career Institute. She started working for ProMed Career Institute after graduating as the Admissions Coordinator. Ms. Paredes has worked at ProMed Career Institute for 2 years before embracing her newest role as School Director. She guides students with registration to ensure they are taking the appropriate course for their personal goals.
Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor/Extern Coordinator Christina Baker, RCMA
Christina Baker is a new member to the PMCI team. She has moved here from Colorado where she has taught and trained students as Medical Assistants. She has graduated from Pima Medical Institute as a Medical Assistant. Ms. Baker is also a Registered Medical Assistant through AMT. She has also received her associates degree from Pima Medical Institute in Health Care Administration. She is also working on getting her bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration. Ms. Baker has successfully worked as a Lead Medical Assistant in a clinic where she was able to practice her skills and leadership. Ms. Baker is also our extern coordinator who works with the students to try to find a clinic that will give them the opportunity to practice the skills they have learned.
Phlebotomy Technician Instructor Kalina Doy, CPHL
Kalina Doy is our newest member of the PMCI team. Mrs. Doy has completed the Phlebotomy Technician class at ProMed Career Institute and passed her externship with flying colors. Kalina was hired at her extern site after passing the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam. After Mrs. Doy completed the exam she started to work at Any Lab Test Now in Harker Heights where she has moved up in their ranks. She started as the lab phlebotomist and is now the Medical Assistant. As the supervisor of a medical lab Kalina brings a wealth of knowledge to the table along with new techniques the student will get to learn before they go on to extern.
